I have a 95 chevy s-10, with a 2.2, 4 cyl, manuel, 2 wheel drive. I'm wondering what is the average miliage/ consumption rate for mainly city driving. Some time between fill-up's I seem to get alot poorer Kilometers then others. I ther things to check/inspect, or change-replace in my fuel to get the best miliage? Thanks

I would guess around 20-25 mpg.
Things that affect it are:
correct tire pressure,
a good thermostat so the engine warms up quickly.
O2 sensors operating correctly.
Clean air filter
no drag from the brakes
easy accelerations
avoid speed increases to just pass as opposed to cruising
proper gapped and clean spark plugs
long idling
long warm ups
bad alignment.
