1994 Chevy S-10 wont start

I have a 94 chevy s10 and it wont start the starter is fine and it will turn over if I spray starter fluid into the carb but only for a few seconds before it dies could there be any other solution besides replacing the fuel pump?

Check your fuel pressure it should be 9-11 lbs. If it isn't hen you'llneed to change the pump and fuel filter. You might chekc it after just a filter change but it sounds as if your pmp may be bad.
