My husband changed the engine coolant sensor on my 94 S-10 PU several times, but was unable to get the gauge on my dashboard to work (It is pegged at 0). Does this model have the second coolant switch as well as a separate sensor? When I tried to find a switch, all searches came back as sensor/switch. Are the two parts the same and found in both locations or does this model just have one sensor/switch by the thermostat?

I believe it is the Vortex Z engine, but some parts required, we found are actually for the W engine. Gotta love those change over years!

There is only one engine coolant temp. Sensor for your vehicle. Switch and sensor is the same part for this. Is your gauge electronic or analog? Since the sensor has been replaced, I would suspect faulty wiring or a faulty instrument cluster. I can give you some testing steps to check your wiring, I just need to know if its analog or electronic.
