I have a 4.3l V6 with approximately 212000. I think I have jumped the timing chain, because of rough starting and the inability to keep it running after the initial start. I have ran a compression test and have the PSI reading for the cylinders. 1 - 170, 2 - 170, 3 - 160, 4 - 175, 5 - 180, 6 - 170

My repair manual from haynes says that it should only beno greater than 100 psi. Am I missing something here? The truck I have does not have A/C is an automatic with overdrive (700r4).

Minimum, 698 kPa (100 psi) @ 200 rpm.
The lowest cylinder reading should not be less than 80% of the highest. Perform compression test with engine at normal operating temperature, spark plugs removed and throttle wide open
