Yesterday I started my truck and as I was backing out the steering wheel got real stiff and then when it loosened up the truck started to run rough then the vehicle died. It started again but was still running very rough. Upon raising the hood I noticed the 3 plug wires had pulled out away from the boots on the distributer. My only conclusion them being on the driver side the plug wires snagged on the steering shaft and pulled them out. Now that I have replaced the plug wires the truck will not start. I think it may be flooded, but I have had the coil tested, tests good, since it is the only part of the ignition system that hasn't been replaced. Truck has new distributer replacement Sept. of 2006, along with plug wires as of yesterday. Firing order is correct. How do I start the flooded engine?

If the engine is flooded just push gas pedal to the floor and keep it there while turning engine over. Once engine starts release gas pedal.

thanks, I hope it works, I have to let it warm up a little bit before I go and try it. Working on it in 20 degree weather is pretty miserable.

well that seemed to do the trick, it fired once, but then died, when to turn it over again but the battery is to dead to get it running, so I'll have to get it jumped before I'll know for sure.
