Brakes problem
1992 Chevy S-10 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1992 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4. We just rebuilt the brakes system completely - complete front and rear including master cylinder and booster. We have bled the brakes but when putting the vehicle in drive and stepping on the brakes, the vehicle will spin the back tires and it accelerates slightly. We have come to the conclusion that it may be in the ABS and wondering if we can disconnect the ABS totally and replumb for regular brakes. Please let me know, Thank you.

I don't know that it is an abs problem, that is I don't see why any acceleration is happening when the brake pedal is pressed. Was there a problem before you replaced the system? IF so what symptoms beforehand?

To answer the question, you can by-pass the abs modulator, but it would suck if the problem was still present and worse yet if you get in a situation that called for them.

I don't recommend bypassing and Know ABS brakes did save me and my wife from getting decapitated.
