Engine problem
1992 Chevy S-10 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 200002 miles

I have an s10 blazer with a vortec 4.3L that will not start, it had sum bad gas but thats besides the point, ok when I try to start it it will sumtimes stop like it has a thrown rod. If I put it in neutral and push it a few feet it will do it again, but once it gets jamed thats it, just a loud click from the starter. I dont get it tho cuz its an automatic so when I push it its not doing anything to the motor. Also I have had to replace the starter because the old one was shatterd. Iv checked the batery the new starter and part of the flexplate. Is it possible it culd b the transmition jaming up? After it clunks to a stop sum trany fluid leaks out from the torque converter area. I got it to run then it stalled on the bad gas. And now its clicking again. Im tired of pushing it, I cant even run a proper compression test, also the oil looks fair no metal shavings or coolant. Im stumped guys

Try this, take the starter out, turn the engine by hand using a large screwdriver in the starter plate. With you saying the old starter shattered there could be some pieces in the gears. When you try to start it the starter could be getting jammed by one of those piece keeping it from turning over.
