Well my son is 400 miles away and says he pick up will not start. However if he sprays starting fluid in the carb it will run till it runs out of fluid. Mind you I am 400 miles away on the phone.
So if you were me what do u do? Change the fuel pump?
First or could it be a relay or something. It is a college boys pu with tons of miles and I have never repaced the fuel pump. And If I do drive to go do it is it better to remove the bed bolts and slide the bed back or drop a fuel tank with a half a tank full of fuel?
Without having a pressure testor Iam I right to assume it is the fuel pump or maybe a relay switch?
He says he can not see fuel spray into the carb.
But his boss syas it might have gotten cold enough to get fuel moisture frozen and maybe he just has a frozen fuel line. It has been only 28-35 degrees for one day. I find that hard to believe a freezing problem.
But on the net someone else had a fuel relay switch out. Any sound suggestions? beofre driving the miles to replace a fuel pump and still have to have it towed to a shop for a pressure check and spend more money?
