Hi,
My truck has an oil leak and I cant find it or figure out how it's getting there.
Its on top of the engine under the breather on the right side next to the valve cover. I checked for a oil guage leak, changed valve cover gaskets, and changed the distributor gasket. I powerwasshed engine and have had my backyard mech. look it over and no one has a clue how it is getting up top or were it is coming from. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I love my S10 and hate to get rid of it, But it is a fire hazard cause the oil leaks down when I drive onto the exhaust.
Thank You

I need you to check something. First, make sure the PCV valve is working. Next, with the engine running, remove the oil fill cap and see how much pressure is coming out. The engine may have too much "blow By". Basically, the rings wear out allowing compression to bypass them and enter the crank case. As a result, it pushes oil out anywhere there is an opening.

Let me know what you find. You may want to complete a compression test to see if it is getting low.

Let me know what you find.
