It appears my check and filler tube has vibrated
off.

The fluid is coming out of where this was.

Can this be remedied?

Which fill tube is this that you are refering to? Is it the oil fill tube? Is this a 4.3 ltr V6? If so what you need to do is replace it and it is only available at the dealer. The gasket is probably no good so it is loose and vibrating off and leaks oil too. Thanks and sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Yes, the tube can be replaced. If there is enough of the old tube sticking out, you may be able to pull the stem out. Otherwise, you have to drop the transmission pan and push it out from the inside. You may be able to find a used one somewhere or you can get a new one from GM. The tube is supposed to be bolted to the engine with a bracket to avoid this problem. Also, if you have to pull the pan to replace the tube, I recomend you change the trans filter at the sametime. It's right there and the filter will come with a new gasket which you will need anyway. Hope this helps.
