The truck starts well, but then will die right after, I can get it to run for a while by pumping the throttle. I have replaced the distributor, cap and rotor, new plugs, Idle air valve, MAP sensor (the last two because I got codes). The only code I pull now is 24 but everything I have read says to disregard this code if the truck is not in motion. I have checked the compression in all the cylinders and have good compression (120-150lbs). I have tried to check the fuel pressure but I was not able to.

Its very critical that you check the fuel pressure with a gauge that's designed for your fuel system if okay check and test the oil pressure sending unit this is the one that powers the fuel pump when the engine starts, the fuel pump relay is just to prime the system for 2secs

Is there a special gauge for to test the fuel pressure with. Tried to use my friends but the rigid fuel line wouldn't allow for the gauge to placed in between the throttle body and the line.
