My old Chevy s-10 stalls out when it's a hot day. It will start again after about 15-30minutes of cooling. I believe vapor lock is possible. But I am wondering if it could also be the engine coil. When it dies, it will start again but idle very rough and I can hear the electric fuel pump making pulsing noises when normally it makes a steady electrical whining. It is mounted to the frame of the truck. I have not yet looked at the fuel filters since it only happens when it's hot out. Also, after cooling, I checked the fluids and the coolant and oil is low.

Well the pump shouldn't run that way, test the fuel pressure, low pressure will cause your problem, test with a new fuel filter. Pressure should be 6-7 psi and pump one pint in 30 seconds. Rochester carb? Is your service engine soon light on?
