Engine Performance problem
1983 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive

I have a 1983 s10 that i have been rebuilding. It s project car and so far i have learned a lot. I have run into a problem one thing. It will run for about one minute then shut down. I have tested the plugs by placing a small amount of fuel in the carb and it ignites. the fuel pump is getting fuel to the carb. so... it must be in the carb somehwere and i am unfamiliar with this model "Rochester 2se & E2se Carburetor" damn thing looks like a carburetor/fuel injected frankenstien. any suggestions before i rip the damn thing out and throw it over a cliff?

that carb was really a pain in the ass to redo. it's a varijet and thelinkage is one of the most important part sof it that screw up. check to make sure it is not worn out due to it's age. good luck on rebuild on it. it's not impossible but take your time with it.
