2001 CHEVY IMPALA 3.8 V6 110,000 MILES.
Yesterday morning was a bit chilly maybe 29 degrees. I went out to go start the car to warm it up....Once I started it...it made a really high pitched almost whinning noise....consistently. I then shut the car off...took the keys out...the noise was still going...i opened the hood...the fans were still running....once the car warms up..the noise tends to go away..but after i shut it off...the fans still run...for a while afterwards. So by the fans running all the time...no matter if i drive for a long period of time...my tem gage doesnt move at all. It stays as it was when i first start it up.
After a day the check engine light came on...I got the code read and it's P0128 coolant temp. Where is this sensor located and how do I replace it
?

Go to AutoZone.com they have alot of helpful info on their site. Finding the sensor is the hard part changing it is easy. Pull the wiring plug off remove it witha socket. Have the new one ready to go back in with some thead sealant on it and screw the new on in.
