[quote:60c055e83b="techman1"]Your fuel pump should pull air through the system and prime itself. Try this. If rust and crud blocked off the fuel at the fuel tank exit, disconnect the fuel line at the engine, remove the fuel cap, and blow a high pressure air hose backwards into the fuel tank. I had a car with so many rust chips floating around the fuel tank, I had to do this every 3 months.[/quote=everett pgle] I disconnected the fuel line at the carb and there was fuel there. It is a throttle body injection, 350, and was told that possibly the injectors arent opening to allow fuel in?? What tells the injectors to open and how would i repair this problem??[/quote:60c055e83b]

[quote:7f54ce9ae8="techman1"]I've had a night to sleep on your problem. And some cars have emergency fuel pump shut off switches, not fuel injector shut off switches, so I stand corrected on that. The first thing to do is see if the fuel pump comes on for a few seconds when you turn the key to the on position. You should be able to hear it and especially if you remove the fuel cap and listen while someone else turns the key on. The fuel pump relay only runs the fuel pump for about 5 seconds when you turn the key on and when you turn the key off. On most trucks and cars, it is the oil pressure gauge that runs the fuel pump while the vehicle is running. If you fuel pump runs, crack a fuel line open at the injectors and see if you get fuel there.[/quote:7f54ce9ae8]=everett ogle] it is a throttle body injection, and i removed the fuel line to the carb body and turned on the key and gasoline came flooding out, however when i turn the engine over nothing is coming into the carb, it is as though the injectors are not opening, so does this have something to do with there being no spark possibly the ignition control module??
