Hi. I recently relalced the front rotors and pads on my 4wd s-10 extended cab. The pads were shot and rotors too. It had been squeeling loudly. That took care of the noise. All was fine. But now it sounds as if the rears are squeeling. I think its rear anyhow. Hard to tell. Yet there is plenty of pad left and the wear indicators are about a 1/4" away from the disks. If I feather the brake pedal it squeels but if I press hard it doesnt. Also. Am I correct in assuming its harder to change the rear rotors and pads because they have the emergency brakes built into the center hub of the rotor? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Your brake squeeler is set to start scraping the disk or drum about 1/4 of an inch before the rivets in the pads start to grind and do damage. It sounds as if you need to replace the rear brakes also.
Follow the manual and the rear brakes will be easy also.
