1997 Other Chevrolet Models no start

During the years 1997 -1999 Gm had aproblem with the harness. Specifically the last foot or so. This cause fuel pumps to quit working. If you jump the pump and it works does the vehicle still start? If it doesn't then it's not the pump. If you are getting voltage to the fuel pump then the harness is ok. You need to check the relay as well. Hopefully this helps you. The harness is available as a replacement with a new fuel pump from delco. But you'll need to check about a foot and ahalf back on the harness and if it's power there and none at the pump you shoul dhave found your problem.
