I did a tune up with plugs, wires, distributer cap, rotor button. Engine began to idle rough when giving gas afterwards. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. No go. I then replaced the electronic control module. Still no go. It will start no problem, idle fine, then when u give it the gas it wants to spit and cut out on u. Any suggestions?

Ok first off I need to know what kind of chevy we are working on and what engine you have and what fuel system you are using ie: injection or carburation. Get back to me so I can try to help. If it is a S-10 blazer then I need to know the 8th digit of the vin number is it a Z or W?

Ok. It is a S10 blazer with 4.3 cpi vortex. It is fuel injected, no carb. It started today with no problems, and we took it for a test drive. It broke down again, like it isn't getting fuel or something. Now it won't even start. Just turns over. We are our wits end with this thing! ANY Suggestions are appreciated! Thanks

OK if you would check the cap and rotor as they are known to cause problems. Also what is the 8th digit of the vin Z or W. If the cap looks good then I would like you to pull a spark plug wire and put a philips screw driver in the end and put near metal like the valve cover and see if there is spark. Let me know what you find and what the 8th digit is too thanks.

The 8th digit is a W. Cap and button are good, and it is getting spark.
