1987 Other Chevrolet Models fuel sending unit

I put a new sending unit in my truck yesterday because the unit wasnt getting power I cheked the relay. She got power and now sending unit isnt getting power but th e relayis getting nothing I dont know what the problem is

The fuel gauge sending unit has two wires, a ground and a wire that sends a resistance signal to the gauge.

On most GM cars it is 0-90 ohms, 0 being empty and 90 being full.

So, use multimeter and check for resistance, shake car and resistance should fluctuate a few ohms.

My 87 chevy scottsdale the fuel pump and sending unit isnt turning on the realy is nt comming on either checked every thing I have no idea what the problem is I have gone over my haynes manuel 90 thousand times.
