I have a 78 chevy Scottsdale pickup with dual tanks. Just bought the car used, drove it home and now it will not start. I discovered the fuel is not making it to the fuel pump. Not sure if this could be a tank swith issue or what. Anyone have a idea of where I should start. Blocked fuel line? Thanks.

not to sound stupid but make sure the fuel guages work and there is gas in the tanks. then go for the fuel pump. If it's a mechanical pump hook up a gas can with a temporary line and see if the truck starts then. If it starts then it's a gas switching valve probably. Alot of times vehicles are sold because only one tanks works and no one wants to check things out. Your vavlle could be mechanical or electrical.
