I had a fluid leak that was repaired. I cannot find a dipstick to check the tranny's level. There seems to be no plug in the side of the tranny as well or it is welll hidden. How do I check my fluid level to check that there is enough fluid in the tranny?

I recently had the same problem to find out that this car was made with out and stick to check your fluid Transmission fluid. It was built so that you have to take it to the dealer or garage that had a specail key to remove a bolt/ cap and then they use a tool simular to a oil gun if you were getting your oil changed to top up or fill you transmission fluid there is no way for you to know other then to do this step. Phone around where I am from I found a garage that would look for free and only if it was needed they you start to charge me I also found out that you are not able to purchance the correct transmission fluid for your optra 2004 at any place other then a garage or dealership. Here in Canada. Place like canadian tire does not carry it walmarts do not carry it so when I purchased it at the dealership I paid 15. 47 a litre. So that is what I went through less then two weeks ago. So far no more problems with the transmission other then the claps underneth need to be tighten.
