I own a 2001 Monte Carlo Ls. with 94,000 miles. Randomly my car will not start. The security light flashes and in 5 to 20 minutes my car will finally start up fine. It is becoming more frequent and is annyoing when I need to get somewhere. I do not believe it is my starter, but am not sure on what it could be. Any suggestions would be helpful.

It sounds like the car is going into tamper mode. I would like for you to have the car scaned for codes. With your probem being intermittent I would think that maybe you have a loose connection at the Body Control Module or something like that. I would be interested to see what if any codes can be pulled from the PCM and BCM..That would also give us a starting point....
