My car as no power at all I go to turn on the key I have no lights, no radio, no power at all. This car was just rebuilt I had to replace the stereo but I took it to the dealer to have it reprogramed to the car. So I don't think its the security system. I don't even get the security light I checked the battery and its good. Just before this happened when it would get low on gas it would act like it was running out of gas but I would know I still had gas but i would put gas in it and it would be fine until this. I just turned it off and came back out and nothing.

First of all I have the same car so I know how you feel when your car starts up- I had this problem plenty of times. First of all it can be the ignition wires are not catching any fire/ but I doubt that thats the problem, 2nd The key chip can be dirty where it wont read the ignition -slighty doubt it-3rd battery could be completly dead- sounds like whatever but I bet thats the problem when a battery goes desd in a monte carlo its over take it out get a new or get it recharge- trust me i had these problems several of times but most of the time it was the battery, one time I didnt have no gas in my car when I went home my car wouldnt start up for nothing I couldnt even get the car jumped I had to take the battery out and have it recharged guess what? no gas in my car - cause my battery to go dead -this was the first time for that in that situation but the battery can play a big part in the car not doing nothing sometimes my lights in the car came on and I thought it wouldnt the battery but guess what it was/why I dont know mc are wierd cars they are very tricky and you have to lear thm
