I inherited this car from my dad and there are two issues I cannot resolve on my own. 1. The windshield wipers will only operate when the brake lever is in the left turn position. 2. There is a "clunking" sound coming from the rear drivers side when the car goes over the smallest bumps in the road. If you have any thoughts on these questions please let me know. I am pretty handy when it comes to auto repair but these things have me stumped. Thanks

I had the same issue on my 96 monte.
It was a loose bolt or something. My mechanic had to weld it back to position. I thought it would cost me an arm and a leg but it only cost me $25!!
I should have taken it in alot sooner!! I guess I got used to the noise!!

could also be a blown strut or shock in the back.
