I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden I couldn't pick up any gas and my engine seemed to shut off on me! Although the engine shut off, my radio and all the other power continued to work. When I went to try and start my car back up, it wouldn't. There is nothing wrong with the fuel pump or filter, I had them both checked and they were fine, I'm getting plenty of fuel. I also had the battery and connections checked and they were fine as well! I then thought about the coil and modulator since I wasn't getting any spark, I changed both and now I am getting spark but the car still wont start. Could it be the timing chain, because I don't know what else it could be? Any help or suggestions?

If you are getting both fuel and spark, it should run unless there is a timing issue or lack of compression. Does the engine even try to start? IF you use starting fluid, will it start for a few seconds? Has anyone checked the injectors to see if they are operating? If it starts with starting fluid, that is the next thing I would check.
