i have a 86 monte carlo super sport with the 305 h.o. It doesnt have enough juice to start. ac and heat was ripped out along with the smog equipment. Im just running straight engine. I replaced the distributor cap and rotor wires plugs altenator and put a new battary in it. And the altenator charges at 14 amps. When i go to start it, it just clicks over and over. But if i put jumper cables on it, it out the other car running, it starts right up and runs fine. Then it will start once or twice after that then dies again over night. I cant see it being the starter since it fires right up with jumpers. Have any suggestions?
