01 MONTE CARLO SS STUPID engine light

my cars a 2001 montecarlo ss 3.8 liter. it has 86000 miles on it and we had the catalyc converter replaced because it was stopped up. we turned off the engine light and the car went about 2 weeks and the light come on agian reading catalyc converter carbon build we turned it off again and went 2 more weeks and it came on again how do you fix this i know theres not a problem with the converter because we had it checked again. is there a censor that i need to replace

There is something causing the damage to the converter.Excessive rich fuel mixture is probably the cause.An engine misfire can cause this, or a leaking fuel pressure regulator.

THE LIGHT NEVER CAME ON UNTIL WE CHANGED THE CAT AND NOW IT KEEPS COMING ON SO YOU THINK IT COULD BE RUNNING RICH OR REGULATOR HOW WOULD I TEST FOR THIS
