Electrical problem
1999 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl Automatic

My 99 Chevy Malibu has been having starting issues. It cranks up but won't start. Sometimes it will start and immediately shut off. All of my dashboard lights seem to come on (including check engine light, brake, ABS, check oil, everything). I get regular oil changes and keep up my maintenance. I took it to a local mechanic shop and they were not able to find anything wrong with my vehicle. They said they can't really figure it out because it only not starts sometimes and not to worry about the lights coming on because its normal?????? idk about that...I thought it may have some type of electrical issue because when I turn on my windshield wipers, they will not go off! I can turn the car off and turn it back on and sometimes the wipers will still be on. Sometimes they only go off when I spray out the windshield wiper fluid. Any help or suggestions, especially with the no starting issue, would be appreciated. Thanks

alot fo times codes are not shown but the cam position sensor or crank position sensor go bad. They will need to check those for ohms to see if they have a problem. The windshield wiper has either lost it's ground in the motor which can be resoldered but has to be taken out to fix.
