Shakes or Wobbles problem
1999 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl Automatic 197000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I'm a girl so i dont really know much on cars but my car has 197,000 miles and it's leaking water from i guess the water pump and it's starting to over heat so i check to see if it has water and theres no water in there so i went and bought dex cool and put that in and its leaking that too. so i went and bought the stop n leak and my car was running good for about a month and a half now it's starting all over again only this time i put the stop n leak again and it won't work this time and it continues to leak and all the water or dex cool i put in it it all leaks and it causes it to over heat. and my gas gauge does not work and when im at a complete stop my car shakes reall bad i think my idle is to low, i have to put it on neutral so it wont shake as bad. I'm a single mom and trying to make it with my 3 kids and this car is giving me alot of problems and everywhere i go they charge to much money and i need my car to get back in forth to work so please let me know whats wrong with my car, thank you.

To start with stop leak unless used properly will cause more harm than help. There will likley be future problems with this system A complete flush of the cooling should be done one the leak is located and repared. If it is the water pump, then it should be changed. I would pull the thermostat out and flush it completely, then install a new one. You may be in for some headaches with this one. I would be concerned about possible internal damage sucha s a headgasket if this did overheat
