I,m on SSI Disability and am soon to get a lung transplant. I was hoping you might be able to help me figure out what is wrong with me and my wifes car,we would really appriciate it and be willing to donate if you can help us.Our car will start occasionally ,but when it does it idles irradically and sometimes the gauges bounce around. Also once you give it gas it worsens the idling and causes it to die, you can keep it running by spraying gas in the air filter.I have changed the fuel filter on it,and the Chevy dealership put a new starter on after it had sat almost a year, plus I put on an idle control sensor. This allowed the car to run for about a couple of weeks until it just died out on us from nowhere, which is when we found out it will stay running while spraying gas.I know the car is about shot, but it's our only transpertation so PLEASE help us. THANK YOU!!! P.S. There is water or somthing leaking from the tailpipe each time started, and sometimes usully after first time start of the day it will stay running for little while about 5-10min.Als if forsed to start by giving it gas the check engine light will come on, and did while running off and on...

either that is antifreeze in your tailpipe if you notice your coolant level is low or it is bad gas and you should drop the tank and clean it.

when you say the gauges bounce do you mean rpm's oil pressure or is the gas gauge bouncing and the speedometer and temp gauge bouncing also?
