1998 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 109k miles

im just wondering if a 97 engine can fit onto a 98 model? If possible can the rest of the parts fit. There both automatic 4 door with the same type of motor. V6 3.1L

There should be little diference in the two engines. If the other engine came out od a car that had diferent power oprtions then you might need to change the computer. It will probable be compatable, but sometimes they are diferent.
