My engine will turn over or crank when I turn the key but won't catch to start. It's not flooded as there is no gasoline smell. None of my gauges are working. When I turn the key, none of the warning lights are coming on. No check engine, no seatbelts, no oil pressure, no ABS light, no digital odometer, the gauges themselves aren't going up e.G. Gas gauge, but all other lights are working. Interior, radio, cigarette lighter, headlights, etc. So far I have switched the relay for the fuel pump with the cooling fan to see if that worked and it didn't. I checked the oil to see if it was overfilled to see if there was gas in my oil. That didn't work. I checked fuses to see if any were blown and none were. I checked the ECM/PCM fuses/relays to see if they were the problem and so far nothing is working. Can you please give me some idea as to what is going on?

Hello, I'd make sure the battery has a full charge and the cables are ok. Are you saying it cranks good, but won't start, or it won't even crank?

No it will crank. It sounds like it's going to start but it won't. I've been told different things such as fuel pump relay switch is gone to the ignition switch/key lock cylinder needs to be replaced.

I'd probably want to check the feed to and from the ignition switch. Any of your sensors under the hood that uses a ref voltage, should go hot when you turn on the key, no crank. You can unplug the sensor, turn on the key, use a dmm, test for voltage.

Bottom line, I would have to do some testing to find the problem.

So now the car starts. Fuel pump is engaging but still no warning lights. The check engine and seatbelt lights will come on when key is in on position. But there is no movement from fuel, rpm's, and digital odometer is not coming on. Is there a fuse for gauges in this year of car? None of my fuses are blown but just want to know if there is one so I can do process of elimination.

IPC/hvac batt fuse 10 amp--- lh bec bat 2, 30 amp--- IPC/bfc acc 10 amp fuse, goes hot with the key on. I believe the first two are hot all the time, you can use a testlite see if the fuse circuits are hot when they should be?
