Chevy Lumina brake problems

I have a 97 chevy lumina with almost 90,000 miles. My brakes have been sketchy as of late and I had the brake pads and rotors (in the front) replaced not too long ago. It seems I am pushing the pedal pretty hard (not to the floor though) to get it to a complete stop. I recently had a brake line replaced and the other one was fine. The car doesnt shake or vibrate, and there is no noise coming from the pads. Any ideas?

It's possible the quality of the replacement pads is not up to the task. How are the rear brakes?
You front drive car has diagonal braking sytem, meaning the right front and left rear are on one side of the master and the opposite it true for the other side, so if the rears are bad stopping power is decreased more than in the older rear drives.

My uncle is a mechanic and I asked him about it. He said it may just need a rear brake adjustment, but im not too sure.

He may be right! Best way to find out is to pull the drums and inspect linings and wheel cylinders for leaks!
