The power trunk release stopped working and I believe the backup lights stopped working at the same time. I couldn't find a bad fuse (not sure there is a fuse specifically for that). I checked the fuses that could be verified visually in all three locations I know of (one inside on passenger side and two in engine compartment). Could it be one of the other bigger fuses or relays? Everything other electrical function of the car works OK. What could be te problem?

After reading about problems other Lumina owners were experiencing, I must mention that my Lumina has on and off irregular idling problems (it was worse before but got better with no reason) and sometines, nothing happens when I turn the ignition. It will start fine a second later. It happenned one that it took a few minutes. Could these problems be indicative of a ECM problem?

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply.

Here is fuse for trunk release. Not only check the fuse, check for voltage on the fuse circuit. As you can see, the trunk release won't work unless the tranny is in park.

As far as idle, check and clean the throttle body and idle air system.
