Noises problem
1998 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 219K miles

I am having a couple issues, that for some reason I am hoping all lead back to one solution. First is when I am at a red ligght or in park my car seems to shake a little and I can see my headlights and/or dash lights kind of dim with the shakes. I am also hearing intermittent clicking noises that started at the same time. I know I have an oil and transmission leak I am currently in the process of trying to get fixed (expensive procedure). My second one started yesterday, as it was the first day warm enough for the ac. When I turned on the ac it seemed loud and I can hear clicking coming through the vents, and when I roll the window down I can hear squealing coming from the engine area, but does not automatically shut off when I turn the ac off. Someone please give me something I can look at or get tested, without paying all sorts of money just to see what it is. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for the donation. How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Trying to stall at idle could be an idle air issue, you could check that, plus, take the throttle-body off and clean it. Some of the national brand autostores used to check some trouble codes for free, if there are any.

The clicking may be a relay, you can feel of each relay, when it is clicking, You should be able to feel vibration when it clicks, may be locate which relay, if the relays are labeled.

The noise under the hood when you turn on ac, maybe a worn belt, not enough tension?
