Last week, Sunday, March 29th, I was driving on Interstate 5, near Woodland, CA. All of a sudden the car acted like it ran out of gas. I pulled over for a few minutes, then started it up again and it ran fine for about 1,000 feet, then quit again. I ended up buying a fuel filter and replaced the old one. Didn't work. Battery died. Had the car towed home. After about four days I jumped the battery and it started right up and sounded great! Full power and all. But that was short lived for about 3 minutes. Then it quit again. I feel it's got to be the fuel system. What do you think and?

I would check the crankshaft position sensor, this is very common in these vehicles, I had the same problem, what happens in a faulty crank sensor, is, when it gets hot it causes an open circuit, and the computer cannot get a reading thus making it shutdown. Im not saying that this is the problem, but it is overlooked alot of times and it ends up costing the car owner lots of money, a faulty crank sensor will not cause an engine light either. Ill send you a link to show you how to check your fuel pressure yourself. let me know what you find
