1996 Chevy Lumina V12 Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 114000 miles

The doors lock is broken on the driver side and, where you put the key in to start the car, can't think what that is called right now I am so mad.

Some times I can put the key in and it starts right up and other times it takes 5 or 6 tries to get it started.

Then I can't lock the door cause the lock is not working and now the service soon light is on.

Thanks for any help I can get

Where the key goes in is called ignition switch might be failing and also causing the door locks to react or the master window/lock switch is defective itself.

In regards to the service engine soon light go to autozone and have it read and comeback with the code/s.
