My 1996 lumina started knockin 2 days ago.
There is coolant leakage into engine oil which causes oil to be milky. I searched on the net and found out that intake manifold gasket failure is common problem for Lumina. I probably drove 20 miles with the coolant leaked into oil. Can I still get away with fixing only the gasket or do I need something more to it like rebuilding the engine?

Hi there,

you should be OK, replace the faulty gasket and flush the engine oil and change the filter, you may have to do this twice, but I feel that you should not have done any damage. But don't wait get it done now.
