could you please tell me how the push rods go on this engine? Me and a friend took it apart, but he didn't lay them back out in the order they were in. Now the car won't start, but it cranks, where before, it would start. I think I may have them in wrong. There are 6 short and 6 long rods. Someone told me the short all go on 1 side, but they wouldn't fit that way when I tried to put them back in. They would only go in every other one correctly. Can u help me?

To the best of my knowledge, if the push rods are not in the right order the engine will not crank over.
All the intake valves have one size pushrod and all the exhaust valves have the other.
If the engine cranks over normally you may possibly left a wire off somewhere.
Check for spark and fuel then go from there.

The intake push rods are short and the exhaust ones are long.
