I have a 90 Chevy lumina. While driving or even stopping the rpms shoot way up an jerks my car around. Other times as I'm stopping it stalls. I have replaced a number of sensors including the map sensor to no avail. But it does sometimes throw a code for the map sensor. Can u help?

Check the hose going to the mapp sensor could be crushed, dilapidated etc. Also check idle air control valve and do a throttle body cleaning, if this does not fix your problem you may have a problem with the torque converter/torque converter clutch solenoid.

I own 2 90 Luminas and both have the same Problem when the battery goes dead
I need to take one right now to the dealer to get the computer reset and that will fix the problem
I have learned to change the battery while the car is running and the ALT. With out disconnecting the battery
