Auto Open/Close Inoperable

The locks due not operate when vehicle put in or taken out of gear. I have a 2001 Impala LS with 72,000 + miles, 3.8L I have checked the fuses and they are not burned out.

Good morning Roman,

I believe there are 2 different fuses for that, but I am more inclined to think you can reset it as power is probably not the problem.

First Turn the ingnition switch to ACC or RUN position, turn the radio off.

Next, press and hold DISP button on radio for at least 10 seconds until SETTINGS is displayed.

Then you want to press SEEK up and down arrows until AUTOLOCK appears.

Then press PREV or NEXT buttons to scroll through options under AUTOLOCK. An asterisk will appear next to current setting.

To changeoption, dpay the option you want and press DISP button. A chime will sound to verify the new setting.

Lastly, to exit pres PREV or NEXT buttons to scroll until EXIT is displayed and press DISP button. You'll hear a chime to verify.

It's probably on mode 1, you want mode 4.
