What causes water behind the floor broad on the passager seat.

It could be a leaking heater core, do you smell coolant? Is the coolant low in the radiator? Do you have a sunroof?

It could also be rainwater or carwash water. The seals around the bottom of the windshield and below the windshield on the passenger side could become compromised in some way (deterioration, misplacement when cabin air filter is replaced) and allow rainwater, or carwash water, into the cabin and it drips onto the slanted area of the front passenger floor and puddles in front of the seat.
