Why do I have an gas smell coming from my car?

What can I do about this?

Is there any company or person in Augusta, GA that can help the unemployed effected by this economy with this problem?

First check for leaks, if you cannot get the car off the ground (floor jack and jack stands), the use a flashlight and mirror to look at the lines from the tank to the fuel rail. Especially look at the connections in the fuel system.
Inspect fuel rail, look at connections, and injector seals, inspect fuel pressure regulator vacumm line for the presence of gas, if there, then the FPR diaphram is ruptured and must be replaced.

If no leaks, then it may be a problem in the EVAP system, bad purge solenoid, or any number of things.

As far as help, ask your neighbors if they know any mechanics. If you attend a church, ask the pastor if any mechanics attend.
Check with local autoparts stores, if they know any mechanics who would help you.
Most larger cities have help or information departments in city government, call and ask them if there are any programs available for the unemployed.

Thanks for the donation and I hope you can find some help. Mmprince4000
