2004 Chevy Impala chang oil lite

It has to be manually reset and he didn't do it. Turn the key on and hit the accelerator hard all the way to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. I usually hit it for times and have better luck. If it doesn't clear the first time, shut the key off and repeat the sequence.
