2002 police impala 3.8L transmission prob

a few days ago, i noticed that my transmission has started slipping a little. i want to take care of it before it gets worse. any ideas? it only happens between 1st and 2nd gear.

miles on the car ? ses light on ??check the fluid and see what it looks like first , this will be a good indication of whats going on , it should be red , if its brown and burned andd contains any foreign material on the dipstick , you may have worn the intermediate and direct clutches , lmk

i checked the fluid, and it was at the level. i added a bottle, and now it seems to be working better. i had a leak, which im taking care of this friday
