What could be the problem with my car? It shakes really bad when driving. It worsens when I accelerate. I also can tell something is rubbing, not like faulty brake pads, when I come to a stop. Someone told me it could be cv joints, but I can't find anything about cv joints on an Impala.

Can you further describe the rubbing sound?

Jack the vehicle up in the front end, then wiggle each tire and check for play vertically and horizontally, if play is noted its probably the wheel bearings.

Check the wheels for allignment.
