Car sounds similar to when you clip a baseball card to your spoke wheels on a bike, runs fine when not moving but the faster you go the louder it gets, when you turn right it goes away but not when you turn left, and comes back when you staighten out. Is it difficult to replace?

Are you sure its the shaft. Can you feel it in the steering wheel. Check the front end first for loose parts. Do you hear the niose on the inside or outside.

You can tell its coming from under the hood but you can hear it loud and clear inside. If you turn the steering wheel a bit to the right the noise stops completely. You can also feel it in the steering wheel, have taken it to the repair shop, but don't want to spend $400+ for the repair.
