Engine will not start, but is trying to turn over. Lights are dim radion will not work, turn singal works. I drove the car several time yesterday and than my son try to drvie it and it would not start. I think it is the Altenator

Get your battery charged and get the car started.
Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running. Voltage should read 14.5 volts. If it reads 12 volts, the alternator is not charging.

Most of the major chain auto parts stores will check the voltage for you or, if you've removed the alternator already, will check it for operation.
