1994 Chevy Impala car shuts off

my impala ss just started shutting off the other day when i got to the stop sign it act as if it was out of gas it was putting and then it would just shut off was hard to start i let it cool down and about a hour later it crank up fine but when it would cut off the door locks would start to engage as if i were pushing the button which was not happing a guy told me that my catalatic converters could be the reason please help

How long since a tune-up? Make sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are good. Check charging system. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Idle air problem, clean throttle-body. Any trouble codes?

i change the spark plugs every year and the oil every 5 to 6k i only drive the car at the most 10,000 a year the battery is a little old it has a new fuel pump but i didn't change the fuel filter throttle body i took it off and cleaned it pretty good new gaskets and all i didn't change the trans fluid or the tranny filter this year yet the only problem that i see is i have only one elect fan workingthe motor burned out on the other fan not sure where to go from here can't give up
