1985 Chevy El Camino 85 El Camino 4.3 idle hard in drive

I have a 85 el camino, it idles fine in park but when I put it in drive it idles way different and shakes idles a lot harder?

Check for a bad spark plug or low compression. If those are ok, then check to see if you have a camshaft worn out. You'll have to pull the valve covers and look at the valves moving for that.
